No other Congress in the history United States has been as radical as Barack Obama and his minions in Congress. In the first two years as Commander and Chief, President Obama and Congress has implemented a Progressive agenda that included massive takeovers of our lives (Obamacare), and our pursuit of happiness (financial reform) while failing to enforce the law of the land namely the U.S. Constitution regarding immigration and voter integrity.
Even worse is the arrogance the entire administration has shown as it deals with the unpopular legislation being jammed down our throats. The Progressive power grabbers assume the silent majority are “too stupid or passive” to know what’s best for them and have taken it upon themselves to make decisions for all. This isn’t a “government for the people, by the people” it’s a “government for the government” and the heck with the people. Yet, these very same members of Congress have failed to read their own legislation. You see, reading the legislation isn’t necessary when it’s strictly meant as a power grab anyway.
For now, all that we have left is our liberty and the Progressives will take that too if they are left unopposed. The President and Congress has no problem staying in close contact with the radicals supporting this Progressive movement or staying closely aligned with those self-admitted communist/socialist that want to replace our individual freedom with “Collective Freedom” the difference is this.
Instead of you making decisions of what’s best for yourself or your family the massive government will make those decisions for you. In other words, instead of a Republic the country, or the World if Progressives have their way, will yield to a Democracy, in a democracy the majority rules. Oh sure, at first that doesn’t sound too bad, after all if its good enough for the majority it’s good enough for me? Maybe that sounds logical to some right now but think about it for a second, what if the government is controlled by the religious right-wing tomorrow, say Iran? Still OK with it?
Let’s look at an example of democracy that has grown over the years right here under our noses in the United States, the labor unions. Most of us have some exposure to the country’s labor unions either directly, as a member, or a family member, or a friend. All, of us have had an indirect experience with labor unions through our teachers, transportation workers, firefighters and police. Labor unions were started in the private sector of United States originally to leverage the “workers” against the wealthy business owners or so-called “robber barons” attempting to negotiate better wages, hours and working conditions. But today these labor unions have expanded into to public sector. So, who are the public unions protecting its members from? If the government is so bad they need protection from them why do they donate so much to them? Well, the truth be told it’s because they’re operated from the top down which is the big government, Marxist way of governing. –
Labor unions were never meant to expand into the public sector in fact many respected intellectuals warned us of the possible ill-effects of such an undertaking. The public sector has always been regarded as public servants, much like politicians are supposed to be. This is a person that is willing to work for less, not more, to be respected as the caretakers sacrificing monetarily in order to build a better country. The idea was after serving a term or maybe two they would move on to the private sector with an
asterisk on their resume as caring, patriots who gave to their country.
In the beginning of the industrial age, the later nineteenth century, businessmen and bankers dominated industries gaining power and massive wealth using questionable business practices. Wow, sound familiar? Today’s labor unions in large part have become much more than just a tool to leverage the wealthy businesses they represent, they are also a politically active lobbyist that use the money they collect from membership to influence political direction.
International labor unions spend near 80% of their revenue on political candidates that represent their interest. Now, the labor unions themselves have become a powerful political force that has to be reckoned with by the government in a similar way as other special interest groups. Again, at first glance this appears to be a positive function needed by hourly workers to gain access to the political system like the corporations have done for years. After all, it appears that unions are only leveling the playing field in negotiations involving business and labor. However; a closer look at the internal functions of how a union operates may cause even the most loyal members to question their own motives.
Today, top labor union leaders run these international unions just like a government of a socialist country. They vote on leaders, then the leaders pretend to argue in behalf of the membership with phases such as, “we care about the working class, and I’m from the working class, or we’re supporting blue-collar workers, but, when you look close you’ll see just the opposite.
Today you can find unions in both the private and public sectors; however, the growing sector far and away is the public sector. According to the statistics the public sector is growing at an alarming pace and with it comes the political motive to capture votes. As the unions grow in the public sector so does the government and the expense to pay their wages and benefits falls on the shoulders of the taxpayers.
In August of 2010, Congress passed a new round of bailouts meant “save” jobs in states that have exceeded their annual budgets by passing legislation worth $26 billion that will pay teachers, police, firefighters and other public servants for the near term. Who pays for that? You guessed it, the private sector, that you and me.
Congress’s associations with communists and radicals includes Van Jones, Obama appointed Green Czar, Andy Stern, former President of the SEIU, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, founders of the 60’s violent radical group the Weather Underground, Jeremiah Wright, Jim Willis, and Father Pfleger, a Catholic priest so far left he makes Karl Marx look conservative among others.
